Request a root_cause insight from an incident. The structured response separates what was observed from what is hypothesized, and lists unknowns explicitly.
Observed vs hypotheses#
Observed statements must map to evidence references. Hypotheses are labeled as such — correlated explanations, not guaranteed root causes. See Evidence.
Confidence bands#
Confidence bands (high / medium / low) reflect evidence support — not a probability that a fix will work.
Limitations
- Quiet telemetry yields weak or empty hypotheses — not invented outages.
